Honoring sacrifices

Donate >>

The Black Resilience Project is an initiative that honors the sacrifices of Black people who were forced to work in various fields during the Jim Crow Era after slavery ended.

We will share written and oral testimonials directly from the Black people who were impacted by the unfair sharecropping system that forced them to work in the fields from sunup to sundown without adequate compensation.

It is imperative that we preserve this overlooked and unsung Black history for future generations. Hearing our honorees share their true testimonials about how their resiliency allowed them to thrive despite their circumstances is very important and inspirational.
